ch. Chain
sc. Single Crochet
dc. Double Crochet
rpt. Repeat
sl st. Slip Stitch
vst. (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in same space or stitch
dc4tog. Leaving last loop of each dc on hook, work 4dc in ch1 space, yrh, pull through all 5 loops.
Shell. (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in same space or stitch
Base of ch. Work in first stitch
ch3 counts as first dc
Finished Size approx:- 11.5 Diameter

Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK in Colors 1, 2 & 3
OR an equivalent yarn i.e
Small amounts of Worsted Weight #3 in Colors 1, 2 & 3

Made in rounds without turning throughout.
With color 1 make magic circle, ch3, (RS) 11dc in circle, pull loose thread to close, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off. (11dc + ch3)
Row 2 – Join in color 2, ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of 3c on beginning of row. (23dc + ch3)
Row 3 – ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, * 1sc in next dc, 2sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1sc in dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (36sc)
Row 4 – Join in color 3, ch4, 1dc in base of ch4, * skip 1sc, vst (see abbrev) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip sc, sl st to 3rd of ch4. Fasten off. (18 vst)
Row 5 – Join in color 1, ch4, * work dc4tog (see abbrev) in next ch1 space on vst, ch1, skip 1dc, work 1dc in space between next vst, ch1, * rpt from * to * to last vst, skip 1dc, dc4tog in ch1 space on vst, skip 1dc, sl st to 3rd of ch4 on beginning of row. Fasten off. (18, dc4tog)
Row 6 – Join in color 2, ch3, 1dc in each ch1 space, dc4tog and dc to end. Fasten off. (71dc + ch3)
Row 7 – Join in color 3, ch4, 1dc in base of ch4, * skip 1dc, vst in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, skip dc, sl st to 3rd of ch4. (36 vst)
Row 8 – sl st to first ch1 space, ch4, 1dc in base of ch4, work a vst in ch1 space on each vst to end, sl st to 3rd of ch4 on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Row 9 – Join in color 1, ch3, 1dc in each ch1 space and dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off. (107dc + ch3)
Row 10 – Join color 2 to first dc, (ch3, 1dc, ch1, 2dc) in same stitch, * skip 2dc, shell (see abbrev) in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, skip dc, sl st top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off. (36 shells)
Row 11 – Join in color 1 to first ch1 space, (ch3, 1dc, ch2, 2dc) in same space, * 1sc between next 2 shells, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in ch1 space on next shell, * rpt from * to * to end, 1sc in space between last 2 shells, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim.
