Long tr.  yrh, insert hook into directed space, pull up long loop, work tr as normal.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr.

Finished size approx:  10 Inch Diameter

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

20 grams of Paintbox Simply DK Yarn in colours 1 & 2

4.00mm Clover crochet hook

TENSION – 5tr and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Made in rounds without turning throughout.

Make a magic circle, (RS) work 1ch, 8dc into circle, close circle pulling loose thread, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (8dc)

2nd Round – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, make 2ch, * tr2tog into next dc, (see abbrev) make 2ch, * rpt from * to * end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (7, tr2tog, 1tr + 3ch)

3rd Round – ss to first 2ch space, work (3ch, 1tr, 2ch, tr2tog) into same space, * make 3ch, (tr2tog, 2ch, tr2tog) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * end, make 3ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off. (15, tr2tog, 1tr + 3ch)

4th Round – Join in colour 2 with a ss to first 2ch space, work (3ch, 4tr) into same space, * 1ch, 1dc into 3ch space, 1ch, 5tr into 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch space, 1ch, 1dc into 3ch space, 1ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (8, 5tr groups)

5th Round – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, 2tr into next tr, * make 2ch, miss (1ch, 1dc, 1ch), work 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 3tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last (1ch, 1dc, 1ch), make 2ch, miss (1ch, 1dc, 1ch), ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (55tr, 8, 2ch spaces + 3ch)

6th Round – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 6tr, * 2dc into 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 7tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space, 2dc into 2ch space, ss to first dc. Fasten off. (72dc)

7th Round – Join in colour 1 with a ss to first dc, work (3ch, 1tr, 2ch, tr2tog) into base of 3ch, * make 1ch, miss 3dc, work (tr2tog, 2ch, tr2tog) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, make 1ch, miss last 3dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (18, tr2tog groups)

8th Round – ss to 2ch space, make 3ch, work 4tr into same space, work 5tr into each 2ch space to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off. (18, 5tr groups)

9th Round – Join in colour 2 with a ss to top of 3ch, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 4tr, * work 1 long tr (see abbrev) into 1ch space (on 7th Round) working around the 2 rows (see pic), 1dc into each of next 5tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 1 long tr around last 1ch space of 2 rows below, ss to first dc in beginning of round.

10th Round – 3ch, 1tr into each dc and long tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (107tr + 3ch)

11th Round – 3ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 5tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 2tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off. (125tr + 3ch)

12th Round – Join in colour 1 with a ss to top of 3ch, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 4ch, miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, make 4ch, miss last tr, ss to first dc on beginning of round. (63, 4ch spaces)

13th Round – * 1dc into 4ch space, make 4ch, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round.

14th Round – Rpt 13th Round. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
