3ch counts as first tr

Approx Finished Size:  36 Inches x 43 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

240 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 1
170 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 2
170 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 3

An equivalent yarn would be a worsted weight #4

6.00mm Clover crochet Hook

TENSION – 4tr and 1.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Worked sideways in multiples of 4 stitches.

Starting with colour 1, make 140ch loosely, work 2tr into 5th ch from hook, 2tr into next ch, * miss 2ch, 2tr into each of next 2ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1tr into last ch. Turn. (34 groups)

Pattern Row – 3ch, miss 1tr, 2tr into each of next 2tr, * miss 2tr, 2tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and tch, miss 1tr, 1tr into top of tch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-

2 more rows in colour 1.
# 10 rows in colour 2.
4 rows in colour 1.
10 rows in colour 3.
4 rows in colour 1. #

Rpt from # to # once. Fasten off. Turn.

Border – Join in colour 2, make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 3dc into 3tch, work 2dc into each row end down first side of blanket, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along cast on edge, 3dc into corner, work 2dc into each row end up second side of blanket, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc around all four sides of blanket, working 3dc into corners and ss to first dc on the end of the row. Turn.

Rpt last row twice more. Fasten off.

Finishing – Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.

Rpt last row twice more. Fasten off.
