For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

400 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 1
135 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 2

7.00mm crochet hook

TENSION – 4dc & 4 rows measures approx 1 inch

With colour 1 make 93ch, (RS) 1dc into 2nd ch from hook 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (92dc)

2nd Row – (WS) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, # * working over the 2nd Row work 1fptr around next dc on the row below, (see pics) work 1dc into the next dc, * rpt from * to * over next 12dc, 1fptr around next dc on the row below, 1dc into each of next 15dc, # rpt from # to # to end, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch across, 3dc into corner, * 1dc into each of next 2 row ends, miss 1 row end, * rpt from * to * down first side of blanket, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, rpt from * to * up second side of blanket, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc around all sides of blanket, working 3dc into 3 corners a 1dc into last corner, ss to first dc on the end of the row.

Rpt last row once in colour 2 and twice in colour 1

Flower – (optional) Make as many or as few as you wish.

Made in rounds without turning throughout.

Make a magic circle, (RS) work 1ch, 12dc into circle, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to first dc.

2nd Row – 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 4tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, work 4tr into last dc, ss to first ss. Fasten off. (6, 4tr groups)
