Picot.  (1dc, 3ch, 1dc into 3rd ch from hook, 1dc) into same stitch or space.

vst.     (1tr, 2ch, 1tr) into same space or stitch.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

Finished size approx:  13 Inches x 9 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used:-

Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK in each of the colours 1, 2 & 3

4.50mm crochet hook

TENSION – 4tr and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in continuous rounds without turning until the end of the 8th Round.

Using colour 1 make 18ch, (RS) 5tr into 3rd ch from hook, 1tr into each of next 14ch, 5tr into last ch, working on opposite side of cast ch, work 1tr into each of next 14ch, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of round. (38tr)

2nd Round – 2ch, work 2tr into base of 2ch, 2tr into each of next 4tr, 1tr into each of next 14tr, 2tr into each of next 5tr, 1tr into each of next 14tr, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of round. Fasten off. (48tr)

3rd Round – Join in colour 2 make 2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, 2tr into each of next 9tr, 1tr into each of next 14tr, 2tr into each of next 10tr, 1tr into each of next 14tr, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of round. (68tr)

4th Round – 2ch, * 2tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * 9 more times, 1tr into each of next 14tr, rpt from * to * 10 times, 1tr into each of next 14tr, miss 2ch, ss to first tr on beginning of round. Fasten off. (88tr)

5th Round – Join in colour 3 make 5ch, 1tr into base of 5ch, miss next tr, * work (1tr, 2ch, 1tr) into next tr, miss 1tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to 3rd of 5ch on beginning of round. (44 v-stitch)

6th Round – ss into first 2ch space, work 3ch, 4tr into same space, work 1dc into next v-stitch, * 5tr into next v-stitch, 1dc into next v-stitch, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off. (22, 5tr groups)

7th Round – Join colour 1 to any dc, work 9ch, 1dtr into same dc, miss 2tr, 1dc next tr, * miss 2tr, work (1dtr, 5ch, 1dtr) into next dc, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss into 4th of 9ch.

9th Round – With WS facing join in colour 2 with a ss to any dc, * miss 1tr, 1dc into each of next 2tr, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc into 3rd ch from hook, 1dc) into next tr, 1dc into each of next 2tr, miss 1tr, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, working last ss into first ss on beginning of round.
