dc.       Double Crochet

tr.        Treble Crochet
dtr.      Double Treble Crochet
rpt.      Repeat

yrh.     Yarn Round Hook

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

tr2tog.   Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 2tr into next space, yrh draw through all 3 loops.

tr3tog.   Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 3tr into next space, yrh draw through all 4 loops.

Approx size:  4.5 Inches x 4.5 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used:-

Oddments of King Cole Big Value Baby DK Yarn in colours 1 & 2

5.00mm Clover crochet hook

*******************************************************

Made in rounds without turning until the end of the 4th Round.

With colour 1 make a magic circle, work 3ch, 11tr into circle, pull loose thread to close the circle, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

Fasten off.

2nd Round – ss colour 2 to space between 3ch and first tr, make 3ch, tr2tog into same space, * 1ch, tr3tog into space between next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 1ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (see abbrev for tr2tog and tr3tog) (12 groups)

Fasten off.

3rd Round – ss colour 1 into 1ch space between last tr3tog and 3tch on beginning of round, make 3ch, work (tr, dtr, 2ch, dtr, 2tr) into same space, (this makes first corner) miss 3tch and tr2tog, * 3tr into next 1ch space, miss tr3tog, 3tr into next 1ch space, miss tr3tog, work (2tr, dtr, 2ch, dtr, 2tr) into next 1ch space, miss tr3tog, * rpt from * to * to last 2, 1ch spaces, work 3tr into each of the ch spaces, miss tr3tog, ss to top of 3ch.

Fasten off. Join in colour 2.

4th Round – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each st, working (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into all 2ch spaces on the corners, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn.

5th Round – Rpt 4th Round.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.

Fasten off. Join in color 2.

4th Round – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each st, working (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in all ch2 spaces on the corners, sl st to the first sc on the beginning of round. Turn.

5th Round – Rpt 4th Round.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off loose ends of yarn.
