I used a worsted weight #4 (aran) variegated cotton yarn to add some colour and more thickness to it , it was really easy to crochet and I made it in no time at all.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch
Approx Size: 9 Inches x 9 Inches
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
1 Ball of Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie
An equivalent yarn would be an aran weight cotton

Make 33ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (32dc)
2nd Row – Working through BLO make 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
3rd Row – 1ch, * insert the hook through the back loop of the dc and the un-worked loop on the row below (see pic) yrh, pull through both loops, yrh pull through 2 loops, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
Rpt 3rd Row until work measures approx 9 inches from beginning.
Next Row – 1ch, * insert the hook through the both loops of the dc and the un-worked loop on the row below (see pic) yrh, pull through three loops, yrh pull through 2 loops, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
