Pattern is in sizes from Newborn to 6-12 month and uses hook sizes 3.50mm, 4.00mm, 4.50mm and 5.00mm hooks.

75 grams of Stylecraft Special DK yarn
Crochet Hook Sizes
Newborn 3.50mm hook, 0-3 month 4.00mm, 3-6 months 4.50mm
6-12 months 5.00mm
TENSION – 4htr & 3 rows measures approx 1 inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Made from the top down in one piece.
Make 66ch loosely, ss to first ch to make a round, make 1ch, work 1htr into stitch at base of 1ch, 1htr into each ch to end, ss to first htr on beginning of row. Turn (66htr)
Starting with 1ch, 1htr into stitch at base of 1ch, work 1htr into each htr to end, ss to first htr on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row until 23 rows have been worked in all. Turn.
Brim
1st Row – (RS) Working into BLO work 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Working through both loops of stitch from now on.
2nd Row – 1ch, ss loosely into stitch at base of 1ch, work 1dtr into next dc, * ss loosely into next dc, 1dtr into next dtr, * rpt from * to * end, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Turn. (push the dtr to the front of your work to make the bubbles)
3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each ss and dtr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt 2nd & 3rd Rows 4 more times until 5 bubble rows have been worked. Fasten off.
Chain Tie – Make 80ch. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through alternate htr’s approx 4 rows down from the top of the hat and tie in a bow.
