For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK in colours 1 & 2
TENSION – 4tr & 2.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

With colour 1 create a magic circle (or make 5ch and ss to first ch to make a ring) make 4ch, (RS) work 2tr, 1ch into circle, (5 times), 1tr into circle, ss to 3rd of 4ch on beginning of round. Turn. (6, 1ch spaces)
2nd Round – ss to first 1ch space, work (3ch, 1tr, 1ch, 2tr) into same space, * make 1ch, work (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, make 1ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (6 shell groups)
3rd Round – ss to first 1ch space, work (3ch, 1tr, 1ch, 2tr) into same space, * 2tr into next 1ch space, work (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last 1ch space, work 2tr into space, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.
