Easy to crochet tablet cover, a free pattern that is a great project for a beginner or experienced crocheter, due to the larger hook size, it grows really quickly, you will have it on your tablet in no time at all. If you have got different size devices, it is a simple pattern to adapt to fit them.

WS.     Wrong Side

RS.      Right Side
ch.      Chain
sc.      Single Crochet
dc.      Double Crochet
rpt.     Repeat
sl st.   Slip Stitch

fpdc.    Front Post Double Crochet
Work dc around the front post of the dc on row below.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

Size to fit:  approx 10 inch screen tablet

Materials
I have used:-
20 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in colors 1 & 3
25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in color 2

An equivalent yarn would be light worsted #3

5.00mm Clover crochet hook, decorative button in color 1

Pattern is worked in multiples of 2

With color 1, ch27, 3sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 24ch, 6sc in last ch, working along opposite side of cast on ch, work 1sc in each of next 24ch, 3sc in last ch, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (60sc)

Row 2 to 4 – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc, fasten off at the end of Row 4.

Join in color 2.

Pattern Row 1 – (WS) ch2, 1dc in base of ch2, 1dc in each st to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (60dc)

Pattern Row 2 – (RS) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1 * fpdc around next dc, (see abbrev) 1sc in next dc, rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt both Pattern Rows 1 & 2 two more times in color 2, you should have 10 rows in all from beginning. Fasten off.

Rpt both Pattern Rows 1 & 2 in colors as follows:-

Three times in color 3, three times in color 1, three times in color 2. Fasten off. You will have 28 rows worked in all from beginning.

Join in color 3 and rpt Pattern Row 1.

Button Loop Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1 * fpdc around next dc, 1sc in next dc, rpt from * to * until last 14dc, 1sc in next dc, ch20, sl st to last sc made, rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off.

Finishing – Thread loose yarn around two small holes each end on cast on edge, weave in all loose ends and trim, attach decorative button to front of cover to correspond with button loop.
