120 grams of King Cole Drifter DK in colour 1
30 grams of King Cole Baby Comfort DK in each of the colours 2 & 3

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3

5.0mm crochet hook for pouch
4.00mm crochet hook for hat

TENSION – 4tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch with 5.00mm hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Cuddle Pouch – Made in rounds without turning up to the collar.

Using 5.00mm hook and colour 1 make a magic circle, work 2ch, 12tr into ring, pull loose thread to close circle, miss 2ch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (12tr)

2nd Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 2tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 2tr into each tr to end, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (24tr)

3rd Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 2tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr in next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (36tr)

4th Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 2tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (48tr)

Rpt 8th Row until 37 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 16 Inches from beginning. Fasten off.

38th Row – Join in colour 2 with a ss, make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (72dc)

Pouch Collar – Working into back loop of stitch only make 1ch, work 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Work through both loops of stitch from now on.

dc Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Rpt the last row once. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 3 and rpt dc Row 7 times. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2 and rpt dc Row twice. Turn.

Lace Row – 1ch, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into stitch at base of 1ch, miss 1dc, * (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into next dc, miss 1dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (36 Lace Groups)

Finishing – Weave and trim of any loose ends of yarn, fold collar on to front of pouch, decorate with a ribbon rosebud or bow. (optional)

Using main colour yarn make a magic circle, with 4.00mm hook make 2ch, work 11tr into ring, pull loose thread to close circle, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (11tr)

Second Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 2tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 2tr into each tr to end, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (22tr)

Third Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 2tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr in next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (33tr)

Work through both loops of stitch from now on.

Join in colour 3 and rpt dc Row 3 times. Fasten off. Turn.
