For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

150 grams of Bernat Softee Baby yarn in Colour 1
15 grams of Bernat Softee Baby in Colour 2

An equivalent yarn would be UK Double Knitting

4.00mm crochet hook, 1.5 mtrs of 6mm wide ribbon, 3 buttons

TENSION – 3tr and 3 rows measured on yoke is approx 1 Inch

Dress – Worked in one piece starting with yoke.

With colour 1 make 54ch, (WS) 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 6ch, (back) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 9ch, (shoulder) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 17ch, (front) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 9ch, (shoulder) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 7ch (back). Turn. (61dc)

Work into back loop of stitch only until you Commence Skirt

2nd Row – (Inc Row) 3ch, * 1tr into each dc to next 3dc group, 1tr into next dc, 3tr into centre dc of 3dc group, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc group, 1tr into next dc, 3tr into centre dc of 3dc group, 1tr into each dc to end. Turn. (68tr + 3ch)

Buttonhole Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 7dc, * rpt from * to * once, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of remaining dc. Turn.

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Fasten off.

Return to neck edge on opposite side of back opening, with RS facing working from neck downwards, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 21dc evenly into row ends down back opening to end. Turn. (22dc)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 2 rows of 1dc into each dc to end, turn at the end of each row. Fasten off.

With RS facing join colour 2 to the bottom of the right hand side of back opening, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc up first back edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch around neck, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc down second back edge. Fasten off.

Headband – With colour 1 make 70ch loosely, ss to first ch to make a ring, 3ch, (RS) 1tr into each ch to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (69tr + 3ch)

Work into back loop of stitch only from now on.

Second Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Starting with 3ch, work 1tr into each dc to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1 row of 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

Using colour 2, work 1ss into front loop of each dc to end, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.
