I’m pointing my spotlight on Kathy Lashley from Elk Studio this week for my
Designers Corner, Kathy has been crocheting for over 30 years, she is also
an Annie’s instructor and has done an instructional video for left handed
crocheters, check out some of her beautiful designs with the links below.
Here is my Afghan square free crochet pattern, it’s been a busy week but finally I have made this simple easy design.
I love the raised stitch effect which gives a lovely textured finish, it’s also super quick to crochet.
Make several of them and sew together to use for lots of projects, such as cushion covers, blankets, tea cozy’s, placemats, coasters, bags etc.
Gorgeous crochet 12 inch square which can be used for blankets, table mats
or to put under your indoor plant pots etc. Made in Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice,
a thick and soft yarn, ideal for this pattern, this one is made in four colors,
it would also look nice in one color, there are many available. It’s a very easy
and quick to work up design.
Crochet throws are a lovely accessory to your furniture, they can add real
style to any sofa or chair, just drape a throw across the back of the seat to
decorate and add color to your room. Take it off the seat, throw it over yourself
and snuggle up on the sofa to keep warm on those winter evenings. They are
also good for housewarming presents too.
Staggered square stitch is created over 2 rows and when crocheted looks stunning, I have added a pictorial to today’s post for you to see how Pattern Row 2 is made step by step.
If you would like to make something with this stitch I have put a link below to a free baby blanket I have designed using the staggered square design. See my Stitch Category for more stitches.
Love the colors this throw blanket has been made in, they are not colors
I would have thought of as a team, but they really work together, it’s
crocheted in an easy dc and ch stitch pattern, there is a video included in
the post so it’s ideal for beginners.
Cuddly and warm two color crochet crib blanket pattern, only 2 rows to
the pattern so very quick to get the hang of, finished off with a pretty
flower motif, I’m sure you will enjoy making this sweet blanket.
Lovely granny square which is part of a CAL blanket, but it can be used on its own for a variety of ideas i.e cushion covers, throws etc.
Written instructions with photo tutorial, the Catherine wheel stitch is
suitable for projects like bags, blankets, cushion covers etc. Use up
your yarn scraps to get lots of colour combinations.
Easiest happiest blanket, love the colours and it looks so warm and cozy,
it’s made in rows and there is even a video tutorial to show you step
by step how.
